American Independence Day was observed for the first time on 4th July 1776. It is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating Independence. The Independence Day of America was declared in the second Continental Congress held in Philadelphia.

Fourth of July is the Independence of the United States annual celebration. It is also called Independence Day. The Continental Congress signed the commemoration for the independence of America on July 4th, 1776.

What is the Declaration of Independence?

The Continental Congress was a group that represented 13 British Colonies in North America. The people who lived in these colonies were happy with how the British Govt. treated them. The people had to pay many taxes therefore that was unfair because they didn’t have any say in the way they ruled. The Declaration of Independence announced the decision to separate from Great Britain. The colonies had already started fighting against the British.
